Mexico City and Alexandria, VA (July 22, 2007) -- The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) today announced the formation of a regional organization in Mexico. In a nation that is playing an increasingly important roll in the world economy and the Latin American economy, NBTA-Mexico will be the only organization in the country focused exclusively on business travel. NBTA-Mexico will serve corporate and government travel professionals, providing networking opportunities, education/professional development events, and resources such as research and industry news. Vince Garcia, Country General Manager, BCD Travel, and President NBTA Mexico Allied Advisory Council, added: "It is great that we were able to work with NBTA headquarters to structure NBTA-Mexico as a regional group that can tap into the advantages of NBTA's global network of members, regional subsidiaries, and regional partners." NBTA President & CEO, Suzanne Fletcher, said, "I am thrilled to be able to announce the formation of NBTA-Mexico. With NBTA-Canada and NBTA-Asia Pacific, NBTA has models of regional groups tied into a global network made up of more than 3,000 members in 30 countries. NBTA-Mexico will be another organization operating in that model and serving one of the world?s key business travel markets."
